I grew up knowing Helen as the girl at school who could REALLY sing!! She was in the high school musicals which I always wished I could do. I knew Cass through my older brothers but I got to know them both a little better over the last year. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Helen’s sister Charlotte’s wedding last January. It was such a hard day when I learned that Charlotte lost her battle with cancer. This family is the definition of positivity and they make everyone around them smile.
These two have had a tough year! Cass travels back and forth from Alberta. His job was affected by the recent fires but luckily after a couple of months he is back working. This year, Helen and Aislyn are going to endure the cold Alberta winter to be closer to Dad!
When I heard the news that Cass and Helen got engaged, I was SO happy for them!! They are blessed with the sweetest little girl Aislyn whom loves getting her picture taken! Helen contacted me right away saying that she couldn’t imaging anyone else capturing their special day. I teared up and immediately said yes! I cannot wait until their wedding this August!!
Here are a few images captured this weekend after our first intense storm! The fresh powder snow made for a gorgeous backdrop at Victoria Park in Charlottetown, PEI.
“HEY CASS! SHAKE THE TREE A LITTLE BIT SO THAT SOME SNOW WILL FALL”……
And then the photoshoot was done haha because they were SOAKED!!! Good one Cass!!
