Hurricane Wedding Day | Brandon + Cait

Where do I even start with this day? A week prior to the wedding day, we watched as Hurricane Dorian destroyed everything in its path, and next on its course was PEI. Friends and family kept assuring the couple “Oh, I’m sure it won’t measure up to what they say”, “It’s going to just blow right by us”, but in reality, we got exactly what they predicted.

If the weather bothered Cait or Brandon, nobody knew because they were smiling ear to ear all day long!! They kept saying “This is the best worst day ever!”

Just as the marriage commissionaire was pronouncing them husband and wife, (insert power off noise here), all the lights went out in the old barn in Clinton Hills. Luckily for me, I was set up with my flash and was able to still capture their first kiss as a married couple!!
Cait and her dad did a first look and then he says to her “way to get me with the damn tie!” and then she flips it over to show me…such a perfect touch!!
The couple decided to do a first look and all the photos prior to the wedding ceremony
The look on his face was priceless
I was OBSESSED with the choice of bridesmaid dresses!! Kept all within the same color palette but each girl was able to have a dress to fit her body type and personality!
Moose, their baby was SO well behaved and then every time we put the camera on him, he got so serious! It was adorable

Kristina at Elysian Weddings & Events did a phenomenal job decorating the space to bring Cait’s visions to life!!

After counting, Kristina had over 450 candles throughout the venue for both functionality and some romance

I want to say a HUGE thank you to the bride and groom for making the day so much fun!! No rain or power outages were going to stop these two from having the best day of their lives!!
