When it comes to choosing the venue for your wedding, there are so many factors to consider. You should be considering a Clinton Hills Barn Wedding in PEI. Here are a few reasons that this venue is perfect for both you and your guests.
The BEST part about this wedding venue is that your guests can drive there and then stay for the day. The venue has a ceremony site outdoors surrounded by trees, overlooking the rolling hills of the countryside. If it rains, it’s an easy switch to an indoor barn ceremony. After the ceremony, while the couple has family photos taken, guests can walk down the hill to the barn. Here, they can have a drink and play lawn games or sit inside the air conditioned building until it’s time for the reception to begin.
Clinton Hills Lodge is located across the road from the wedding venue. It consists of a 4 bedroom house and 11 bedroom Inn. Perfect for anyone traveling for the wedding. If you’re unable to stay at the Lodge, drives can be arranged if you are staying in Charlottetown.
After 19 years together, 2 incredible children, and a lot of studying for PEI’s first veterinary dermatologist, Dr. Charlie Pye, she and Andrew finally made it official.
They had friends and family travel to PEI from all over the world. I think the best part, was the large amount of children at the wedding. Sometimes people don’t want to have children at the weddings, but in my opinion, they are the ones that got this particular wedding party started. The children had all the adults up on the dance floor bustin’ a move. AND some of these kids could DANCE!! Here are a few photos from the gorgeous wedding day!
Charlie’s mom played a HUGE part in the wedding. She made all of the Harry Potter themed centre pieces and made all of the bouquets. A sixpence coin is traditionally gifted to the bride from her father who places the coin into the Bride’s shoe prior to walking down the aisle. This tradition is said to bring luck and prosperity.
As a huge Marvel fan, Charlie’s mom arranged for the boutonniere’s to be made out of comic book paper. And each groomsman had their own Marvel character cuff links.
As part of the ceremony, each member of the family had a vile of coloured sand. They then added them all into a display box to demonstrate their unity.
