Logan and Katie met at their summer job 10 years ago where they helped care for those with special needs. They try to spend as much time as possible at the family cottage in Lakeside, PEI. This is also the very place that Logan proposed while they were walking their golden retriever, Rory. One of the things that Logan and Katie love doing together is cooking which is why they chose an intimate Inn at Bay Fortune Wedding with celebrity Chef Michael Smith.

The FireWorks Feast at The Inn at Bay Fortune

The FireWorks Feast is a unique culinary experience that brings food from the farm to fire to fork. The dining experience takes place over four hours. The evening kicks off with unlimited raw, freshly shucked oysters during the Oyster Hour. After the oysters, you can stop at any of the three fire stations where you will be delighted with hors d’oeuvre’s cooked or smoked with live fire. Personally, this is my favourite part of the feast.

Once you’ve indulged in the mouth watering local tastes, you make your way back to the main building where The FireWorks Feast truly begins. The Feast includes a sit-down multi-course meal including bread, maritime chowder, earth plate and salad course, shared plate, meat or catch of the day with vegetables course, and a farm dessert. It doesn’t stop there though. After the meal, you’re invited to roast marshmallows over an open fire with the other guests.
