I have so much fun at every wedding but this wedding felt extra special. The bride and groom live in LA, California and many of their guests traveled to PEI to come be with Josh + Sarah on their special day. Each part of the wedding day had a touch of the bride and groom to it that made this day very unique!!
The bridal party both got ready at the FarmHouse Inn in New Glasgow, PEI. This is the same location that the ceremony and reception took place. The property was gorgeous and it was my first time shooting a wedding at this location.
Sarah custom designed her wedding dress along side the very talented designer Anomalie. It fit her perfectly and was exactly what I pictured her in when I met her one year ago while taking their engagement photos.
When Josh proposed, he used a fake ring because he knew that he wanted to design a ring with Sarah made from his grandmother’s diamonds. They used the diamonds from her ring and added in a few others to make this gorgeous ring!
Up on the hill overlooking Rustico Bay, Josh + Sarah recited their hand written vows to one another promising a life full of love.
Sarah is an opera singer in LA. Some of her friends and mentors composed a song for the couple while Josh’s sister wrote a poem that was then put to the music. A fellow opera singer sang this unique song as Sarah walked up the aisle. It was silent up on the hill except for the exceptional voice and the crickets in the distance.
Flowers were provided by Island Meadow Farms and assembled by the bridesmaids.
The tent provided by Caseley’s may have been the most gorgeous tent wedding I have ever been to. This bridal party spent hours making the tent a magical oasis.
As Josh and Sarah made their way down the aisle after sealing their vows with a kiss, Sarah had a bag piper surprise Josh 🙂
Sarah, Josh and their friends spent 12 hours baking and icing this cake. It was then decorated the morning of the wedding by a couple of the bridesmaids while Sarah got ready for the day.
And possibly my favourite part of the day was the choreographed dance by Josh + Sarah. They danced flawlessly to I Believe in You by Frank Sinatra and I told them that they need to audition to Dancing with the Stars!!
