What do you get when a Canadian and an Australian meet and fall in love in Scotland? A PEI backyard wedding is what you get!
Some spend their whole lives thinking about who they may meet, fall in love with, and marry. I bet Alistair and Natalie had no idea that when they both decided to move to Aberdeen, Scotland they would meet their future partner!
Unfortunately, Alistair’s family and friends were unable to make it due to Covid-19 but everyone tuned in on live feed to witness their wedding ceremony.
Alistair and Natalie opted for a first look which you all know I love love love! I mean, look at his face!! I doubt that would have been his face if he saw her for the first time beside her father walking up the aisle in front of 35 people!
Although Natalie’s maid of honour Ems wasn’t able to make it over from Dublin, Ireland, Natalie was lucky enough to have her four oldest friends by her side all day long!
Alistair’s mother, Helen, is a very successful florist near Albany in Western Australia. Barb from Island Meadow Farms was so excited to work alongside Helen to create the floral arrangements for this wedding but our global pandemic got in the way.
Barb did such an amazing job creating the bridal bouquets and the arrangements for the ceremony!! I’m sure Helen will bring out all the stops for Alistair and Natalie’s November celebration in Australia! Feel free to pop over to Riverdale Farm’s website to check out some of Helen’s GORGEOUS floral creations!!!
Even though Alistair’s sister Abbey couldn’t make the wedding, they made time to talk with her throughout the day!!
Natalie’s sister Christine was so excited to finally be able to put on her party dress!! We were able to snap a few photos in exchange for some pizza 🙂
During the reception, Ems and Alistair’s parents were able to record and send their speeches along for everyone to enjoy after we heard a heartfelt speech from Natalie’s parents.

I wish you all the best in your move across the world!
