Ahh this wedding!!! The wedding day started off with the girls getting ready at the beautiful cottages at The Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort. Ellen & Sammy opted for a first look so that they could have a few minutes alone together before the ceremony. Ellen looked GORGEOUS!!! Her cathedral veil blowing in the wind and catching the sun at all of the perfect angles was breathtaking! Her bridesmaids were so fun all day long and helped make the day run smoothly for their best friend.
What I loved about this wedding was that it seemed as though both families knew each other for years. At one point, I looked over my shoulder and Ellen’s mom was sitting on Sammy’s mother’s lap and they were laughing their heads off together. At the reception, Sammy’s sister spoke about the difficult life they had and how Sammy left school to work and care for the family. She then told the story of Sammy changing as a person during those times and not being the upbeat, fun brother she was used to. She teared up when she told us that after Sammy met Ellen, the full of life, fun, loving brother she once knew, was back and happier than ever! What I saw on Saturday was a love so strong that it will carry them through all of life’s adventures. I wish you both the absolute best and thank you dearly for including me in your perfect wedding day at Rodd Crowbush!
