You never know what you’re going to get for weather in Canada at the first of June! Will and Ashley lucked out huge!!! They planned for a backyard wedding overlooking the Hillsborough River and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect! The sun was shining all day, and all of their closest friends and family gathered to witness them vow to spend their lives together.

One of my favorite parts of the day is when the bridesmaids see their best gal as a bride.

It’s usually when the bride realizes that she’s about to get married and she looks fan-friggin-tastic!!!

Will has a passion for hockey and last year while having a newborn, planning a wedding and building a new home, Will being away coaching 5-6 nights a week took a toll on Ashley and the family. After some thought, Will decided he would step down as head coach for the upcoming year to spend more time with Ashley and his two boys. What Will didn’t know was that Ashley submitted his application for head coach to the board members. He loves his family, but he is happiest when he can be out on the bench coaching. He opened his gift on the wedding day to learn what Ashley had done, and although he is a man of few words or emotions, he had a big smile on his face when he realized what she did for him!

Will & Ashley’s son Luca possibly stole the show with a combination of that adorable suit and wandering around downing his bottle. Luca was such a trooper all day long and also enjoyed this beautiful backyard wedding!

Ashley says in her sweet innocent voice “Do you guys think that maybe we should all shotgun a beer before we head to the reception?”

And so they did just that!!
