Country Wedding on PEI

Kris and Rebecca have been together for 10 years. They have built a family together including their first baby, a beautiful German Shepherd Kona, and their energetic little boy Tate. I honestly have never witnessed a child run non-stop for an entire day until last Saturday. He was so excited to have all his favourite people around. I’m sure he thought they were all there for him, but he doesn’t need to know the difference!

When we woke up the morning of the wedding, there was a Tropical Storm warning. Rebecca had been waiting for this day for years and I knew how important photos were for her. I reassured her that if it did in fact pour rain all day, they could get dressed up again and we could go out and get the photos she so badly wanted. But to our surprise, the rain held off until it was time to head into the reception and gifted us with a sunset. It was the best ending to a perfect day.

I should give you a little background on the bandages on Kris’ fingers. On Canada Day, while Kris, Rebecca and their friends were boating, Kris (only one beer deep), was tying the boat up to the mooring. The boat went one way, the rope went another, and off went the tips of his fingers. His accident was the running joke of the day and I soon dubbed them his “funky fingers”.

I can honestly say that I haven’t had that much fun at a wedding in a long time! There were some reception photos I missed because I was hunched over laughing so hard. I can only imagine what the party was like after I left.

I wish you both a future full of happiness, laughter, and love!! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture the memories of your wedding day!!
