Leon Turns Two

It has been quite a year for everyone, still navigating all of the changes due to Covid-19. It was nice to finally be able to celebrate Leon turning two. Last year, we weren’t able to do very much so this year we had our family over for pizza and cake.

When describing Leon who we often call “squish”, I would say he is a typical second child. He is rough and tumble, not as big of a feeler as my first, and quite similar to a cat. How you ask? He will randomly walk up to the table and clear the table of whatever is on it, then look at you and say “HA HA HA” like The Count off of Sesame Street.

He absolutely adores his older brother Olin and does everything that Olin does. You can often find them playing with dinky cars or various Paw Patrols. I understand now why parents with children close in age buy two of the exact same thing, then you can avoid all of the fights and struggles! It’s taken me until now to realize this, so Christmas will be a lot of matchy matchy so that I can try to minimize the battles.

Before I show you some photos, I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Amanda from ToppedAF who created the cutest cake topper for Leon. When he saw it he said “WOAH!!! Coco!!!”

Here are some photos from the last year with our little man Leon.

If you enjoy reading about birth stories, feel free to check out Olin’s and Leon’s.
