The Story
Where do I even begin with Matt + Katherine?! It’s amazing to be able to say that I was there the night that their love story began, and now im shooting their orchard wedding. Being best friends with her oldest sister, super close with her youngest sister Emily who is my second shooter and growing up with Katherine made this wedding that much more special to me. Not only have I known Katherine my whole life, I also grew up with Matt who was great friends with my older brothers. I know I know, PEI is small but I like it that way. 🙂
The Day
The day started off in town where the girls got their hair done at Salon 12. Katherine wore her hair down with a stunning floral piece in the back which gave the perfect amount of pop in her black hair. The girls then went back to Katherine’s parents cottage in Cardigan. Katherine chose to wear a high neck line and tight fitting mermaid gown from wedding dress designer Theia which was an absolute show stopper! It was simple but oh so elegant and she has the perfect bod to pull it off 🙂
Before heading to the salon, Matt surprised Katherine with the best gift she could ask for… their very own puppy! She was over the moon with excitement and then emotions took over when she saw the photos of her!
As Matt + Katherine exited the church as husband and wife, they stepped into a fairy tale. Katherine’s father arranged for a horse and carriage to pick them up and to have a few minutes just the two of them!
The father-daughter dance can become emotional to some brides, but as per Kerry Taylor tradition, he quickly changed into something more familiar!!! At her sisters wedding last summer, Kerry did something similar, except for hers he put on his “du rag” that he wears around the cottage.
I would like to thank you both so so much for including me in your beautiful orchard wedding day!!
