You are likely here to find out how to choose your bridesmaid’s dresses. I would assume that most times, when choosing your bridesmaids dresses, you just pick your favorite color and go with it. This is great but I am going to breakdown how to choose your bridesmaid’s dresses.

Background

What do I mean by background? Well if you are planning on having all of your photos done with a greenery backdrop, having green bridesmaids dresses wouldn’t be ideal. The greens may clash in color or blend right in together. Some other backdrops to consider are beach (colors to avoid: tan/blush/pink colors), fall foilage/dirt road (colors to avoid: bronze/orange), hay field (colors to avoid: tan/blush), and red cliffs (colors to avoid: pinks)

Color

The color scheme will tie into the backdrop aspect but you also want to think about the skin tones of your bridesmaids and whether you want the same or different colors.

If you decide to go the popular route of different colors, you then have more decisions to make. Are you going to do many different color blues or pinks OR are you going to go with all different colors.

Solid Color vs Patterned

So you’ve decided that you want to go with multiple different colors, whether that be all one color palette or multiple but then you want to figure out if you want them to all be solid colors or throw a few florals or patterns in there!

Style

You’ve decided if you want the same color or not. That’s great that’s the hard part… now you have to decide if you want the same style, or different styles!
